Izabela Musiał

Izabela Musiał is a Polish musician who started to play the bassoon at the age of 11. After completing her MMus Degree in Poland, she moved to London to study at the Royal College of Music in the Artist Diploma programme with a scholarship from The Big Give Scholarship and Soirée d'Or Scholarship.

In 2018 she was awarded RPS Allianz Instrumentalist Prize and worked throughout the year as a bassoon advocate. Collaborating with RPS and ABRSM, Izabela recorded guides with tips and advice for ABRSM Grades 1 & 5 pieces, available to watch on YouTube.

Musiał works as a freelancer with many UK orchestras such as BBC Symphony, BBC Philharmonic, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Philharmonia Orchestra, Royal Opera House, Britten Sinfonia, and RSNO.

In addition to her performing career, Izabela teaches in schools and privately the bassoon, recorder and piano. Taking part in events like the Big Double Reed Day, Musiał provides bassoon workshops to children and adults bassoon players.

Izabela is constantly looking to advance her professional development and often takes part in masterclasses to develop her skills and find new angles of teaching that she can later pass on to her students.
